Cruises to Panama Reveal Growth and Land Options

Blogger, Richard Dietrich, posted last week about the different cruising options to Panama.

If you are interested in discovering the growing area of Panama, Dietrich recommends that Southern Caribbean Cruises have cruises at the ports of Colon and Cristobal, however these cruises do not cross the Canal. For those cruises that do cross the Canal, many deport out of Florida and also allow for day excursions from the ships. Royal Caribbean is also offering a new ship that will be sailing round-trip from Colon to parts of Columbia and Aruba. Dietrich also recommends a smaller ship, called the Pacific Explorer, that offers a 10 day cruise of Costa Rica and Panama.

Many of the excursions that can be explored off of the ship include Old Panama, Casco Viejo, the Ports of Colon and Cristobal, and the Ports of Amador and Balboa. Dietrich recommends these on-shore excursions so that you are able to see the country outside of the Canal
